Trustee Murphy said there should be no exceptions to contractor billing when residents ask not to be charged for snow removal or refuse services, citing a recent resident request; the board agreed verbally to deny the exception and noted the contractor is taking before-and-after photographs when clearing sidewalks. During taxpayer time residents also raised concerns about an eyesore on William Street near Route 9 and a lifted sidewalk near Lindenwald Drive; DPW committed to bonding that sidewalk and addressing the issues raised.
The board did not take a formal budget amendment at the meeting to close the gap but acknowledged the shortfall for future budget adjustments and directed staff to follow up.
