Kinderhook trustees approve budget amendments and accept $70,595.11 abstract

At its March 12 meeting the Kinderhook Village Board approved multiple intra-fund budget transfers covering routine and one-time items and accepted an abstract totaling $70,595.11.
The General Fund transfers included moves among contractual and retirement accounts to cover items such as fire department repairs and worker's compensation adjustments; one line moved $14,093.19 between retirement and workers' compensation accounts. The Water Fund transfers shifted personal- and contractual-service budgets among purification, administration, and transmission and distribution accounts; Trustee Quinn Murphy moved to approve all listed budget amendments, Trustee James Mark Browne seconded, and the board voted unanimously.
The board also accepted the total abstract of $70,595.11 (General Fund $68,101.16; Water Fund $2,493.51). Clerk/Treasurer Nicole H. Heeder reported related administrative activity: she submitted a voucher to the Village of Valatie for kayak-grant reimbursement (about $3,000), filed invoices and cancelled checks with the NYS Department of State for LWRP grant reconciliation, held two trainings with the planning/zoning secretary, worked with staff on records management, and is preparing for village elections on March 18 and the first 2025–26 budget meeting on March 20 at Village Hall.
On motion by Trustee Browne the board approved Records Destruction Authorization Sheets Nos. 1–8. The minutes show all routine motions passed unanimously.
