Water & Sewer Commissioner Dale Leiser told the board the village has $10,633.54 in outstanding water accounts, collected $3,074.49 and left $7,559.05 unpaid; sewer accounts total $24,733.91 with $19,200.43 remaining after collections. He said he has personally notified past‑due residents and warned that shut‑off notices would be issued the following week.
Leiser described a 481,000‑gallon water tank (model 5032) that is 40 years old and requires five anodes to be replaced and attention to a sealing area where the tank meets the concrete; changing the anodes requires draining the tank but the distribution system continues to be supplied using hydrant pressure monitoring. DPW Commissioner David Booth reported the Lead Service Line inventory is on schedule and will be submitted to the state by 2024‑10‑16; a meter pilot gateway is scheduled for late August or early September to integrate new meters with billing software.
