Staff updated the committee on capital projects and the transportation replacement fund. The district plans to purchase one midsize propane bus (wheelchair-capable) to be delivered in July and used next school year; as a result the transportation replacement budget was reduced from $400,000 to $300,000.
On facilities, staff said the ASB will transfer funds to the general fund to support gym-floor resurfacing and the creation of a team locker-room area at the high school; other capital projects rely on transfers and proceeds from a recent property sale. "It's a propane bus, and so we'll be set. It'll be delivered in July," a staff member said during the discussion about fleet planning.
