"This school year, the 2526 budget year, the governor's budget is 11,360,000,000," the Chair said while explaining the district expects to receive 49% of that funding in the first year and to record basic school support in the neighborhood of $22.3 million.
Presenters translated statewide numbers into district-level estimates: they reported an expected average daily membership of roughly 1,525 and about 1,961 weighted students, and they said the district would begin 2025–26 with approximately $2.7 million in the beginning fund balance. Staff noted the prior use of ESSER funds for salaries reduced last year’s beginning balance and explained the district will present a supplemental budget at the next meeting to allocate recently realized extra weight revenue.
