Medford SD highlights CTE gains; FFA chapter proposed for Innovation Academy

District officials reported 56 CTE certifications and the first student to graduate with an associate degree; staff said a request to establish an FFA chapter at Innovation Academy will be presented at the next meeting.
Assistant Director of Career Learning Larina Warnock told the board that Medford SD's Career and Technical Education programs include Emergency Services Management, Agricultural Science and Health Sciences and Education, and that 56 students earned certifications in Phlebotomy and Certified Nursing Assistant programs during the 2024–25 school year.
Warnock also noted the district celebrated its first student to graduate with an associate degree and outlined partnerships that support career-connected learning, including aviation and commercial drone programs, Rogue Community College Occupational Skills Program, and a developing internship partnership with La Clinica and RCC for patient services representatives. She said a request to establish a Future Farmers of America chapter at Innovation Academy will be brought to the board at the next meeting.
