The council approved a determination that Ravi Randal Corp has demonstrated "Active Use" for Plenary Retail Consumption License 1353-32-003-004 and renewed the license for the 2026–2027 licensing term to allow additional time for activation or transfer.
Under P.L. 2023, c.290 (N.J.S.A. 33:1-12.39 as amended), inactive "pocket" licenses are subject to quartile activation deadlines; the council noted this license falls in Quartile 2 and must be activated by August 1, 2026, or it will permanently expire. The council said the licensee had secured a lease and demonstrated steps toward activation, including retaining professionals and securing a premises.
Separately, the council renewed several other licenses for the 2026–2027 term, including plenary retail consumption, plenary retail distribution, a club license for Monmouth University, and a hotel/motel exception for WLB Empire LLC. All renewals passed on roll call (AYES recorded in the meeting minutes).
