Resident says neighbors filled drainage ditch, village mayor to contact county legislator

Doreen Faber, who said she has lived at 5907 Hamilton Rd for 23 years, addressed the board about a drainage problem that she attributes to neighbors repeatedly filling a roadside ditch.
Faber said the ditch was filled in "on at least 2 occasions by her neighbors," and that a county permit was issued when the second fill occurred. She told trustees the road has degraded and is washing out her driveway; a county attempt in 2021 to install tubing did not resolve the issue.
Mayor Brim confirmed the road is a county road and said the village cannot perform work on that road, but he will reach out to the county legislator to seek assistance or suggestions.
