Independent School District No. 720 (Shakopee) school board members met Nov. 13, 2025 to canvass the returns of the Nov. 4 special election and adopted a resolution declaring that both operating-levy propositions carried. The resolution records the official totals and states the propositions received a majority of the votes cast.
The board’s adopted resolution notes that 5,059 voters cast ballots on each question and records the tallies: Question One — 3,193 in favor, 1,855 opposed, and 11 blank or defective ballots; Question Two — 3,115 in favor, 1,925 opposed, and 19 blank or defective ballots. The motion directs the district clerk to certify the results to county auditors of each county in which the district lies and to report the results to the Commissioner of Education within 15 days of the resolution.
