Staff said FDOT had damaged irrigation lines when it added bike lanes and that the city would contact FDOT and review prior email correspondence to pursue repairs or cost recovery.
The commission also noted missing light poles along Federal Highway and clarified that lights are a state/DOT responsibility; staff said the city will proceed with replacing landscaping and then seek to recoup costs through insurance if appropriate. Commissioners requested the work be done as a repair rather than an upgrade: keep plantings consistent with prior design to control costs.
