Superintendent Dr. Elna Davis provided an update on district enrollment and monitoring of student trends across campuses and reviewed upcoming November events including Veterans Day activities and campus performances. She also highlighted recent district activities such as the Tarkington Student Foundation Round-Up, FFA Fish Fry, Lamar University Job Fair participation, Farm Fresh Challenge and Career and College Fair at Tarkington High School.
Dr. Davis recognized recipients of the 2025 Commitment to Education Awards: Mrs. Barbara C. Toler (Commitment to Education Employee Award) and Chance and Patricia Ward (Commitment to Education Community Award). In recognition of Principal Appreciation Month she acknowledged principals Brandon O'Neal (Tarkington Early Childhood/Elementary), Dr. Mary Lariviere (Tarkington Middle School) and Mrs. Latoyia Pea (Tarkington High School).
