The Seaside School District board approved two out-of-state student trips and accepted a donation at its Sept. 16 meeting. Trustees voted unanimously to approve a Pacific Ridge Elementary out-of-state trip (Ilwaco) to allow fundraising to begin. The high school softball team's overnight trip to Phoenix, Arizona, was also approved; the superintendent said that trip is fully fundraised and that parents will attend to help.
Trustees also approved a gift of silent disco headphones to Pacific Ridge Elementary valued at $1,886.18 from DonorsChoose. The gift was approved on a motion by Sondra Gomez, seconded by Brian Taylor, and carried 7-0.
