The Village Board of Trustees voted unanimously to buy interim cyber insurance and to put a full-year policy into next year’s budget. Trustee T. Kevin Monahan moved to purchase coverage for the remainder of the year at an estimated cost of $950 from NYMIR and to include a full-year policy estimated at $1,500 in next year’s budget; Trustee James Mark Browne seconded and all voted "Aye."
Mayor Dorene Weir opened the Jan. 16 special meeting at 9:30 a.m. and the motion was recorded in the minutes as approved without dissent. The board did not record additional policy details in the minutes; the minutes list the two NYMIR price estimates ($950 for the remainder of the year; $1,500 for a full year) as the basis for the action. The item will appear as a budget line in next year’s proposed budget for further review.
