Instruction Committee moves Standards of Quality compliance certification to full board

Stephanie Knoll, representing the Office of Assessment and Accountability, explained that Virginia school divisions must annually certify compliance with the Commonwealth's Standards of Quality (SOQ) covering staffing, instructional program alignment to standards of learning, assessment and graduation requirements. "For the 25‑26 school year, FCPS is compliant with all the applicable standards of quality requirements," she told the committee.
Mr. North moved that the Instruction Committee forward the SOQ compliance certification to the full board with a recommendation of approval; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Staff will present required documentation for signature at the full board meeting.
