Palmyra’s electrical managers reported several ongoing operations: Foster Field light poles have been straightened, crews continue to change out utility poles and clean up lines, crews are checking outlets and installing loops in advance of the community fair, and the crew will run power to a shed by the Palmyra High School tennis courts.
Pete Dames and Mark Salter said the crew is also conducting an inventory exercise to better capture the system’s capital assets. The managers asked the board to consider adopting a policy that clarifies what the city will and will not do when assisting other entities with electrical work.
The items were presented as operational updates; no formal policy vote or adoption was recorded. The board heard the report and did not amend the operational items during the meeting.
