During non-agenda public comment, Bill Draghi criticized instruction he characterized as transgender/LGBTQ education and made multiple claims about legal rulings and public safety.
Draghi said an alleged Supreme Court decision on March 2, 2026, reversed a California ban and, in his words, "so Governor Murphy's law... is unconstitutional." He also said "the transgender people have racked up quite a statistical majority in mass shootings of in schools," a claim presented without supporting evidence during the meeting.
No board member offered documentary evidence at the meeting to support those assertions. Other residents and board members continued the meeting's Q&A on unrelated issues (playground timing, retention initiatives, and transparency requests). The transcript contains the speaker's statements as public comment; the claims were not verified or endorsed by the board during the session.
