Greaves also asked about a $25,000 publicist/PR budget line and a $1,000‑per‑hour consultant fee for professional development. District officials said the consultant line is for professional development ("It's professional development") and that they could not provide detailed off‑the‑cuff justification during the comment period but would follow up as needed.
The board did not change finance items during the meeting; the finance slate (items 27–58) was moved and carried on roll call with one abstention noted on a single item.
