The Village of Third Lake Committee of the Whole reviewed proposed FY26 budget adjustments at its Feb. 3 meeting, Mayor Ricky Buckley said. Staff proposed increases to Legal Services and Risk Management lines to cover potential easement negotiations on Sunshine Ave and rising insurance premiums, respectively, while the Equipment budget was reduced after a recent round of purchases.
Mayor Buckley identified dedicated funding for a community pier ($40,000) and for a gazebo at Dam Park under Community Relations. He also noted one operating line was increased for a newly added voice-over-phone system. Trustees asked for follow-up details on staffing and hours worked to evaluate a proposed addition of staff.
