Highway Superintendent Dave Fisk reported at the March 19 meeting that "all the trucks have been repaired and returned" and that salt ordered three weeks earlier has been delivered. He told the board that while crews were checking for limbs they found five mattresses, three chairs, several TVs and a toilet, and said illegal dumping "is still a problem"; he also noted the dumpster is "2/3 full."
Fisk said the town is obtaining quotes to resurface Strong Road and Powderly Road and that the new truck is "on track for the delivery date." Board members did not take an immediate vote on resurfacing but logged the maintenance needs for future procurement.
