Board adopts FY27 10-year Long-Term Facilities Maintenance plan, submits it to state

District facilities leadership presented the FY27 Long-Term Facilities Maintenance (LTFM) ten-year plan and a related resolution for board action. Jon Deutsch, director of facilities and transportation, and Trevor Peterson, executive director of finance and operations, described the purpose of the plan under Minnesota Statutes 123B.595 and reviewed health-and-safety, accessibility and deferred maintenance categories and estimated annual expenditures.
The packet and an extract of board minutes include the formal resolution "ADOPTING INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 284 FY 2027 LONG-TERM FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TEN-YEAR PLAN" and state that the board approves the attached FY27 plan for submission to the Minnesota Department of Education. The plan and supporting worksheets show an assumed near-term LTFM revenue model and a $15,000,000 annual plan for recommended projects across the district ranging from roofing and mechanical upgrades to pavement rehabilitation and accessibility work.
Administration indicated next steps: the board would adopt the resolution, the superintendent would sign the Statement of Assurances and the plan and required documentation would be submitted to MDE by the July 31 deadline. The packet contains detailed UFARS finance-code allocations and a multi-year project list for each site.
