Mayor Buckley presented an updated list of projects for the village's 2026 fiscal-year planning and asked trustees to prioritize them. Trustee Mateja supplied a ranked list with 'A' priority projects that include Lake Ave wire relocation, completion of 24 homes on Lake Ave, securing Sunshine Ave easements, and Mariner's Cove Road resurfacing; 'B' and 'C' priorities include Village Hall gutter replacement, speed RADAR signs, landscaping, and Dam Park gazebo, pier and sprinkler system.
Trustees asked for more information before approving any projects. Questions included whether village funds should pay for Lake Ave electric work or whether the power company or affected residents should bear costs for upgraded 200-amp service; whether ticketing or leasing would be cheaper than buying RADAR signs; and how limited parking at Dam Park would affect resident access if gazebo or pier projects proceed. Trustee Mateja requested a public hearing before the board proceeds with any listed projects.
