Police Sergeant Mike Katsenios told the Board of Fire & Police Commissioners on June 8 that more than 50 candidates have taken the National Testing Network (NTN) police eligibility test, which uses four components with weighted scoring.
Sgt. Katsenios said a 70% weighted score is required to pass. Commissioners agreed to keep the testing process open rather than close it because of the applicant influx; the board set tentative in-person interview slots for June 23 and June 24 from 5–9 PM. Chairman Tom Callard will review the one-way recorded interviews and provide pass/fail recommendations after receiving NTN access credentials that Sgt. Katsenios will arrange.
