The Recreation Committee recorded four unanimous voice-vote approvals at its April 14 meeting: approval of the March 10, 2026 minutes; a seasonal washroom cleaning contract for Community Park at $950 per month; authorization for the Mayor to execute a 10-year ComEd easement lease for powerline land in Community Park and the PBO field; and authorization to execute a $75,000 DECO grant agreement for a new slide at Palos Pool.
Chairman Key moved to approve the March 10 minutes at the start of the meeting and the motion "passed unanimously." Later, motions on the cleaning contract, easement authorization and DECO grant were moved and seconded by committee members and likewise recorded as passing on voice votes. The minutes do not record dissenting votes, conditions, or detailed contract/easement terms; follow-up work by City Administration and Parks and Recreation is expected to finalize documents and implementation steps.
