Palos Heights committee reviews permits, code violations and vehicle-sticker revenues
Summary

The License, Permits & Franchises Committee reviewed its permit and code-compliance report on April 14, which recorded 62 permits issued between March 4 and April 7, 2026, and 194 permits issued since Jan. 1. Permit fees collected March 4–April 7 totaled $18,548.00; fees collected Jan. 1–April 7 totaled $55,961.40. Code compliance activity during March 4–April 7 included six violations and 11 inspections; year-to-date figures were 15 violations and 40 inspections. Building fines collected year-to-date were $250.00.
The Committee also reviewed vehicle-sticker sales for the 2025–26 cycle: about 6,491 stickers were sold through April 8, 2026, producing $141,697.50 in revenue. Alderman McGrogan asked whether fees collected are decreasing compared with prior years; City Administrator Adam Jasinski said he and the Finance Director will compare vehicle-sticker purchases with vehicles registered within the city and report back to the Committee.
