Lumberport council approves routine minutes and reports, moves forward with wastewater repairs as funds allow

The Lumberport Town Council convened May 5 and approved routine business including adoption of the April 7 and April 15 minutes and several departmental reports.
Thomas Exline moved to accept the agenda and later moved acceptance of the Quality Water services and public-works reports; motions were seconded and recorded as "motion carried." The council also voted to accept the Town Clerk's financial report. Mayor Lexi Mayfield recorded the next council meeting for June 2 and reminded residents that the town election is June 10.
The council discussed but did not decide on changing the hours for the Code Enforcer and elected to reassess the role after a month. On new business the council decided to leave the ordinance regarding trailers and mobile homes unchanged.
In a separate vote, the council approved proceeding with electrical repairs at the wastewater treatment plant “as funds become available,” a motion made by Thomas Exline and seconded by Micheal Stire. The meeting adjourned at 7:26 p.m.
