Valley View ISD board approves District and Campus Improvement Plans and HB3 goals for 2025–26

The Board of Trustees approved the Valley View ISD 2025–2026 District Improvement Plan, individual campus improvement plans, the district strategic plan and HB3 goals during the Sept. 23 special meeting. Assistant Superintendent Dr. Nancy Montemayor presented the documents and Interim Superintendent Dr. Monica Luna and staff answered trustee questions about assessment and placement practices at lower grade levels.
Board President Claudia Coronado asked specifically about the assessments used to place students in lower grades; Dr. Luna said the District will look into other options and that a table showing campus-by-campus CIP changes would be provided to trustees via a link. "Motion to approve the VVISD 2025-2026 District Improvement Plan, Campus Improvement Plans, Strategic Plan, and HB3 Goals, as recommended by the administration," the minutes record; the motion passed 4-0 with three absences.
The approved plans establish district and campus improvement priorities and the HB3 goals that will guide performance monitoring and resource allocation for the coming year.
