The Village of Dakota board on Jan. 6 approved IEPA WPC Loan 17‑4260 Request #6 in the amount of $13,820.20 to cover fees linked to the ongoing sewer project. Trustee Eric Lizer moved for approval and Trustee Jeremy Knox seconded; the motion carried.
President Alisha Lizer said the draw includes $3,880.20 for Willett Hofmann & Associates and $10,000 for CFPS Inc. The board also noted the effluent flow meter at the sewer pond had failed, but representatives from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and Shane Little with Test Inc. advised that replacement can wait because the larger sewer project will address the meter replacement.
The approval funds engineering and contractor invoices tied to the village's wastewater improvements, according to the loan request. Trustees did not provide a roll‑call tally on the record; meeting minutes show the motion carried.
