Commissioners proclaim March 16–22 as Pennsylvania 4‑H Week

Commissioner Patrick F. Kline moved that the Forest County commissioners proclaim March 16–22, 2025 as Pennsylvania 4‑H Week; Commissioner Robert J. Snyder seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.
The proclamation recognizes 4‑H as “America’s largest youth development organization” delivered locally by Penn State Extension and acknowledges staff and volunteers who mentor youth in animal science, civic engagement, STEM and health and wellness. 4‑H Leader Justin Heasley was present to accept the proclamation on behalf of the program.
The action was recorded as part of the visitor recognition portion of the March 19, 2025 meeting and required no additional funding. The board adjourned at 10:11 a.m.
