"So it will take about 60 days or so, 45 to 60 days to get it back through water development board and out," the staff member said, and added that the construction contract is about 440 days.
Staff explained the scheduling rationale: they wanted to bid the tank first to try to align the tank construction with the transmission main approval so the town could build the transmission main and fill the tank once it was completed. "We can build the transmission main, tie it into the system, and then fill the tank once it's constructed," the staff member said.
Council directed staff to rebid both the elevated tank and the wastewater plant and to coordinate timelines so that construction and commissioning can be sequenced effectively. A motion to rebid was moved and seconded; the chair called for the vote and adjourned the meeting.
