Councilwoman moved to introduce on first reading Ordinance No. 2616, a bond ordinance authorizing various public improvements and the acquisition of replacement equipment and machinery, information technology and communications equipment, furnishings and vehicles, and appropriating $4,089,950 to pay for those costs. Omar read the ordinance title aloud and the council set the public hearing for April 21, 2026 at 7:30 p.m.
The motion to introduce was made during the meeting and carried on a roll‑call vote recorded by the clerk. The ordinance introduces the borough’s capital spending plan for the items cited and advances the matter to a public hearing and second reading where members of the public and council can comment further.
No bond issuance or financing instrument was authorized at the April 7 meeting; introduction sets the hearing and starts the statutory notice process.
