Waco ISD recognizes students advancing to state competitions and honors community partner

The board recognized dozens of students from Waco High School and University High School who advanced to state TAFE and academic teams, and named 'A Storybook Christmas' as the district's December community partner of the month.
Waco ISD recognized multiple students who advanced to the state TAFE competition from the Future Educators Academy at Waco High School and additional students at University High School. Several student names were read into the record and entered in the minutes. Angel Dominguez and Alejandro Deleon of the Greater Waco Advanced Manufacturing Academy led the Pledge of Allegiance.
The THSCA Academic All-State team recognized senior high athletes, trainers and managers from Waco High and University High. The district also awarded 'A Storybook Christmas' the TASB Stand Up for Public Education Award as the December Waco ISD Community Partner of the Month.
