The City Manager told the committee the ARPA report was filed on time (he referenced July 30) and monthly reporting continues; staff will complete remaining tasks over the next few months. "The report was filed on time, 2 weeks ago. I think it's July 30, I think, is when it was filed," he said.
On audit work, the City Manager said a kickoff meeting with Sikich — the firm the council selected — was set for Aug. 20 and will be a Teams call. He said Sikich will work with city staff to receive documents and begin auditing city funds, including police and fire pension funds, and that staff expects an update next month after Sikich begins fieldwork.
Council members asked where Sikich's offices are located and discussed the firm's local presence; the City Manager said Sikich can pull resources from multiple offices and use secure portals for document upload. The manager also praised staff for improving monthly reporting and internal spreadsheets that support audit readiness.
