Budget committee introduces new city accountant Marcia Easter

The comptroller introduced Marcia Easter as the new city accountant and said she had previously worked in the Kankakee County auditor’s office. "She may be a familiar face to many of you because she worked for Jake Lee most recently in the auditor's office for Kankakee County," the comptroller said.
Easter addressed the committee and said she had been on the job six days. "I've been there 6 days today, and I can absolutely excited I am to be there because the environment is a good working environment," she said. Committee members welcomed her and expressed confidence she would meet reporting deadlines; the comptroller promised that financial reports would be on time next month.
The committee recorded thanks and welcome messages from multiple members and moved on to other agenda items.
