The Lighthouse Point Economic Development Committee scheduled a final committee review for Sept. 17 and confirmed a presentation of its recommendations to the City Commission on Oct. 28 at 6:30 p.m.
Chair (speaker 4) asked members to send edits within a week so staff can finalize the packet for the commission. She told the group the committee’s work will be presented to the commission at its October meeting and asked members to attend the formal presentation. "We are scheduled for September 17 for our final review," the chair said during the meeting.
Committee members spent the session walking through the draft report’s executive summary, methodology and findings table. Staff and outside consultants will fold in survey statistics, CoStar commercial data and any clarifying language the committee requests before the Sept. 17 review, after which the report will go to the commission on Oct. 28 for public consideration.
The meeting also included routine procedural action: the committee moved to approve the June minutes and recorded an affirmative vote. The committee closed by confirming next steps: committee edits due within a week, a final committee meeting on Sept. 17, and a commission presentation on Oct. 28 at 6:30 p.m.
