Representatives from Gill’s Freeport Disposal attended the Nov. 12 meeting to discuss the village’s expiring waste contract. Trustees voted to accept a contract that requires 65-gallon trash and recycling totes and increases the household garbage fee to $21.00.
The motion was made by Mike Wise and seconded by Rich Rote. Roll-call votes recorded Mike, Rich and Judy LaFurge voting Aye and Jody Pieper voting Nay; the motion carried. Trustees discussed clarifications on sticker pricing for additional bags and aligning contract/pricing changes with the village fiscal year.
