Resident urges action on weekend RV parking and generator noise near Western Avenue
Summary
A resident described recurring weekend RV parking, overnight stays and generator use at the ball field that pushes vehicles onto Western Avenue, causes driveway damage and blocks a fire hydrant; he said he called police multiple times and asked the council for signage, resident-only parking or traffic-flow fixes.

During the public-comment portion, a Western Avenue resident said weekend traffic tied to ball-field events has grown worse, with RVs and travel trailers arriving on Friday nights, setting up and running generators. The resident described property damage and safety risks, saying vehicles have backed into landscaping and that attendees sometimes park in front of a fire hydrant. "They're arriving on Friday night. They're setting up. They're running generators and stuff," the resident said.
Council members and staff acknowledged the problem: a council member said the league is aware of overnight RV issues and that the police have issued citations. The resident requested consideration of resident-only parking signage or alternate traffic routing; staff and police committed to follow-up enforcement and communication with the league.
