The council considered a replat/subdivision application from Texas Exits Wine LLC requesting vacation of lot lines at 247 Bond Street so the owner can build in the middle of the combined lots.
A nearby property owner who said he owns the old Hot Shot Pierce building expressed frustration that the application details were not readily available at City Hall and said earlier surveys appeared to mark a property line that intruded into his building. He asked why the materials were not shared more transparently. A council member and staff responded that vacating the lot line affects interior lot configuration only and "it's gonna be a commercial building," clarifying that homes would not be built on the parcel.
The council received the public comment and closed the hearing; no action to vacate lot lines was recorded at the meeting.
