The Bertram City Council adopted the FY2025–26 annual budget and approved an ordinance appropriating funds for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, 2025. The council also ratified a property tax rate of 0.4417 after separate votes. The budget ordinance and tax-rate motions passed by voice vote.
City finance staff reported the city’s combined operating and enterprise account balances for August 2025 at $27,455,853.11. Georgina Hernandez provided the figures during the monthly financial report: "for the month of August 2025 ... for a combined total of $27,455,853.11." Council also approved related budget amendments and EDC and benefits actions that align with the adopted budget.
