The council approved three Special Sale Alcohol Licenses for the Colton Fire Department to use at events held at Taopi Hall on June 6, July 11 and Dec. 19, 2026. The licensing forms in the record list Monte Koopman as the Fire Department representative and require proof of a Certificate of Liquor Liability insurance before any license is effective.
The motion to approve the licenses was made by Council Member Larry Vande Voort and seconded by Matt Wochnick; Evans abstained from the vote while the remaining members voted aye. Each license is a one-time special sale license for the specified date and event; the city clerk's office will not finalize a license until certificates of liability insurance are on file.
