Bridgeview board approves four public-works contracts and emergency firefighter hire

The Village of Bridgeview Board met May 6, 2026, called to order by Mayor Landek at 7:00 p.m., and voted on a set of routine and project items. The board approved the emergency appointment of Alex Martinez as a Bridgeview Firefighter Paramedic and authorized three capital-maintenance bids for street resurfacing, hydrant sandblasting and painting, and curb and sidewalk repairs on 78th Avenue.
Trustee Higginson moved to approve the April 15, 2026 minutes (motion 2026-M-52); the motion carried with four AYES (Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Lewis and Cardenas), one ABSTENTION (Trustee Baste) and one ABSENCE (Trustee Pinion). The board then approved the appointment of Alex Martinez (2026-M-53) and the three project bids (2026-M-54, 2026-M-55, 2026-M-56) on 5-0 roll call votes with Trustee Pinion absent. The meeting was adjourned at 7:06 p.m. (motion 2026-M-57).
