The Board unanimously approved a resolution authorizing the County Manager to grant access rights and to execute agreements enabling installation of electric school-bus fast charging stations at a potential site owned by the County at 10309 Woodman Road. The action implements participation in Dominion Energy's Charging Infrastructure Program under the EPA's Clean Heavy-Duty Vehicle (CHDV) Program in coordination with the School Board.
The resolution authorizes an irrevocable, non-exclusive license for charging equipment to remain on the premises, grants Dominion reasonable ingress and egress to install and maintain equipment, and authorizes the Chair to execute a right-of-way agreement for necessary ancillary electric distribution facilities on county property. The Director of Real Property recommended approval and the County Manager concurred; the board vote was unanimous.
