The Newaygo City Council on Nov. 11 accepted a clean audit and heard a status update on several capital projects. City Manager Schneider told the council the audit packet showed “it was a clean audit stating that there were no deficiencies listed by the auditors.”
Schneider reviewed a project update sheet and said work on the Town Square Project, Powerhouse Building Project, Sidewalk Project and Disc Golf Course Project is underway or progressing through planning. He said the Water Service Line and the Wood Street water-main projects are scheduled to start in spring 2025, and that the Social Zone Project is complete; photos of the before, during and after phases were displayed to council.
