During the Oct. 17 meeting Superintendent Schneider provided a technology and facilities update: security cameras and a public‑address system are under installation at Kermit Junior High (KJH); smart boards have been installed at Kermit Elementary (KES) and Kermit High School (KHS), with smart boards currently under installation at KJH. The minutes note that security installation should be complete next month.
Separately, the board assembled a scoreboard committee to review options for a Walton Field scoreboard. The minutes record that grandstand alternate options, including adding self‑rising VIP chairs, were discussed but tabled pending additional review and quotes at a future meeting.
