Board convenes closed session on personnel contracts; returns with no action

At 7:48 PM on Jan. 12 the Granton Area School District School Board convened in executive session under Wisconsin Statute 19.85(1)(c) "Considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility" to discuss administrator and principal contracts.
The motion to enter executive session was made by Jamie Elmhorst and seconded by Mark Elmhorst. The board voted by roll call: Erica Bender — Yea; Douglas Eichten — Yea; Jamie Elmhorst — Yea; Mark Elmhorst — Yea; Sheryl Young — Yea. The board returned to open session at 8:49 PM by roll call vote (same recorded Yea votes), and School Board Clerk Douglas Eichten reported that no action was taken during the executive session.
No contract terms or personnel actions were disclosed in open session. The board subsequently adjourned at 8:50 PM.
