Board approves multiple hires and modest pay increases after executive session
Summary
After an executive session on personnel, the board approved several hires (coaches, custodial and food service staff, and a math teacher) and approved a 1.5% support staff pay increase with a $500 December bonus and an administrative raise tied to average teacher increases.
Following an executive session held under Wisconsin Statutes 19.85(1)(c), the Darlington board returned to open session and approved a slate of hires and pay changes. Motions carried to hire Ryan Gille as assistant boys golf coach; Steve Fitzsimons as volunteer track coach; McKenzie Rundle as part-time cleaner/kitchen assistant; Debra Andrews as full-time custodian; Janet Loeffelholz as part-time food service director; Greg Herbst as high school math teacher; and Sean Leary as a .4 assistant baseball coach.
The board also approved a 2025–26 support staff pay increase of 1.5% with steps, a $500.00 bonus to be paid in December and annual longevity bonuses. Separately, the board approved an administrative salary increase equal to the average teacher salary increase and a $250 bonus to be paid in December. The minutes show motions by Stauffacher, seconded by Fink, and record that motions carried.
