The Blue Ridge City Council approved a parade route for the Blue Ridge Rodeo after hearing from a riding-club representative and reviewing two proposed options. The club asked for the council's permission and suggested traffic controls for safety; councilors said they preferred Option 4 because it eliminates tight turn maneuvers on narrow streets.
A club representative told the council, "I believe option number 4 is what we were looking at to not have those tight turns as in option number 1," and said the sheriff's office and volunteers planned to assist with crowd and traffic control. The council moved to approve the route; the motion was seconded and passed on a voice vote. Staff indicated they would coordinate with Collin County and local businesses on logistics.
