Board approves strategic-plan goals aiming to raise district report-card score and cut chronic absenteeism

The Chair presented the proposed 2026–27 strategic-plan goals and asked the board to approve them as presented. The first goal is to raise the district report‑card score from 65.4 to 75 by November 2027; the plan also targets reductions in chronic absenteeism (defined in the presentation as missing more than 10% of school days) and aims to maintain or improve employee-satisfaction scores gathered in recent surveys.

A board member asked for access to the item‑level survey questions driving the engagement indices; the Chair said staff can provide the bottom and top three items and other indicators to guide interventions.
