Lumberton ISD trustees table proposals on out-of-district transfers and Raider Connect Academy

At the May 7 meeting Trustees voted to table two agenda items: a proposed amendment to Policy FDA(LOCAL) that would allow out-of-district transfers, and the Raider Connect Academy proposal. Trustee Kenny Burkhalter moved to table the FDA(LOCAL) amendment; Trustee Dr. Chad Hammett seconded and the motion passed 5–0. Trustee Kimberly Olexa moved to table the Raider Connect Academy item; Trustee Lauren Rothe seconded and that motion also passed 5–0.
Both items were recorded as tabled for future meetings; the board listed Policy FDA(LOCAL) and Raider Connect Academy among future agenda items for upcoming sessions but did not take substantive action at this meeting.
