Board approves new hires, renews administrator and teacher contracts for 2026-27

The Lumberton Independent School District Board of Trustees approved hires and contract renewals for the 2026-2027 school year during its April 9 meeting.
Ashleigh Wert moved that the board offer contracts to Sadie A. Ambrose for a support counselor position and Angelina D. Page for an EC Pre-K teacher position. The motion was seconded by Kimberly Olexa and approved 7-0.
The board also approved renewal offers for recommended employees, including one-year term and probationary contracts and Chapter 21 administrator renewals. Motions to renew contracts for specified administrators and staff were moved by Margaret Cruse and Lauren Rothe and carried by unanimous vote.
