The Lumberton Independent School District Board of Trustees approved its consent agenda April 9, a package that included minutes, expenditures and an investment report.
Kenny Burkhalter moved that the board "approve the consent agenda as presented," listing March 5 and March 26, 2026 minutes, expenditures (General Fund $495,002; Food Service $50,337) and an investment report showing a total market value of $19,723,320.81 as of Feb. 28, 2026. The motion was seconded by Kimberly Olexa and passed 7-0.
The minutes also recorded February 2026 tax collections: Maintenance & Operations (M&O) $854,310.64 and Interest & Sinking (I&S) $358,730.37. No budget amendments or purchase orders were recorded for this meeting; donations included a $100 gift from Betsy Henslee (TWFG) for a Raider Day event. Trustees accepted the financial items as presented, clearing the way for other agenda business.
